About Our Church

Community Baptist Church is a Christ Centered, Bible Believing Church that places an emphasis upon the exegetical teaching of God’s word.

Our Mission

Our mission is to please God as a church family through out worship, fellowship, evangelism, and discipleship

Our Purpose

At CBC we do a lot of ministry, but all the various ministry point to our purpose of evangelism and discipleship. Matthew 28:19-20 says “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.” So whether we’re serving in the nursery or coaching a youth basketball team, we are using that as a platform for the Gospel, making disciples and pointing people to Jesus.

Our Ministries

Children

We love Children at CBC! With Children’s specific meeting at every service, your child will always have something on their level.

Seniors

CBC is a multi-generational church, and that includes a thriving Seniors Ministry! Our seniors know they never “retire” from serving and investing in future generations.

Youth

Youth are the church of tomorrow, but they are also the church today! We encourage our youth to step up and make a difference in our community.

Athletics

At CBC our desire is to initiate our culture with the Gospel. Sports are a huge part of our culture today and we get to use volleyball, basketball, and softball to make disciples!

Adult

Adult Ministries at CBC aren’t simply about a feel good pep talk. We do life together and encourage each other to take the next step in our walk with Christ!

Homeschool

“Harvest Laborers” is a homeschool ministry of families from local churches that operates under the leadership of Community Baptist Church with a heart for missions service in our local community.

Our Beliefs

The following list of beliefs, while not exhaustive, represents the fundamental “non-negotiables” that we find taught authoritatively in the Word of God.

The Holy Scriptures

The Bible is the Word of God.  We believe the Bible to be inerrant and fully inspired of God.  The Bible is the final authority for faith and life.

The Godhead

We believe in one triune God eternally existing in three persons, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; co-equal in power and glory, each with distinct personal attributes but without division of nature or being.

The Father

God the Father is God; the Creator, Sustainer, and Consummator of all things; He is pure Spirit; He possesses all the attributes of Deity: omnipotence, omnipresence, omniscience, eternal, holy, just, love, mercy, righteous; He is all perfection to an infinite degree.

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God; He is God; in the incarnation, He was virgin born; begotten of the Holy Spirit, without human father thus, truly God and truly man; His death was voluntary and propitiatory; He arose bodily from the grave, ascended to heaven where He is now making intercession for believers; from there He is coming for His own and then coming the second time to set up His kingdom on earth.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is God; moved the writers of the Scriptures; convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement; He regenerates, baptizes, indwells, and seals believers; He is the Comforter, helps the believer in prayer; teaches the Scriptures and we believe that it is the privilege and duty of all the saved to be filled with the Spirit.
